Methanol Production From Syngas – An Aspen Plus Simulation and Modeling

An Aspen plus process flow sheet was developed for methanol production from syngas. The syngas composition from a wood gasifier was utilized for the design and simulation of the plant. The simulation results offer useful references for equipment design and process operation optimization.
