Effects of Feedstock and Particle Size On Biomass Gasification Tars

Particle size fractions (0.5 to 4.0 mm) of seven different feedstocks were studied in a biomass gasifier at 850°C. Light gases were measured and tars were analyzed by a molecular beam mass spectrometer; the results were correlated to the feedstock analyses.
