Pyrolysis of Biomass and Coal in a Free Fall Reactor

Pyrolysis and co-pyrolysis of biomass and coal were performed in a free fall reactor under atmospheric pressure. Effects of type and composition of feedstock, reactor temperature, steam, and catalyst on the characteristics of the process, in respect of yield and composition of gas and liquid products, reactivity of char, and synergy between biomass and coal, have been discussed.
