Evaporation Suppression Using Satellite Drops

The evaporation of a water drop placed on a surface is often a problem during experimentations. We demonstrate a way to suppress this evaporation. We show how addition of many small satellite drops surrounding the surface provides an above-saturation humidity condition for the main drop. Being smaller, the satellite drops evaporate faster suppressing the evaporation of the main drop that is used for experiments rather efficiently.
