Description:
Professor Gidaspow is a pioneer in the field of fluidization and development of the kinetic theory of granular flow in his book "Multiphase Flow and Fluidization". His influence is international. His models are incorporated into the commercial CFD computer code FLUENT and the NETL supported open source code MFIX. The purpose of this session is to honor him on his 75th birthday by having former PhD students and leaders in the field of multiphase flow present invited papers
