Description:
The focus of this session is to reflect the latest advances in biocatalysis and biosynthesis of small molecules, including fine chemicals, natural products, and biofuels. Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:(1) Discovery and characterization of new biosynthetic pathways; (2)Engineered biosynthesis of new chemical entities; (3) Rational and combinatorial manipulation of biosynthetic pathways; and (4) Optimization of biosynthetic enzymes and pathways. Topics that cover the metabolic engineering of primary metabolites are better suited in the metabolic engineering sections.
