This session focuses on the design and evaluation of biomaterials that can be used in drug delivery and controlled release applications. Examples of topics include biocompatibility, degradation, targeting, intracellular delivery, formulation, self-assembly, encapsulation, cell/tissue-material interactions, bioactivity, gene delivery, temporal delivery, and biomimetics.
