Advances in Cell Culture II

Friday, November 13, 2009: 12:30 PM
Bayou D (Gaylord Opryland Hotel)

Description:
This session intends to cover current development and progress in insect, mammalian, and plant cell culture. Topics welcomed for this session include, but are not limited to, optimizing cell culture performance using metabolomics, development of high throughput cell culture screening system, optimization of cell production by transfecting transgene via designed vectors, characterization of bioreactor operating environments at both small and large scales, improvements in animal-free media for therapeutic protein production, optimizing yield of cell-culture-based products, advances in cell culture process development for the production of biofuels, vaccines, and stem cells.
