Description:
The world economic outlook and energy prices saw a tremendous decline in 2008 and, with the change in the American administration, public energy policy and commercial energy funding, R&D and capital projects will no doubt take a new direction. This session of invited presentations kicks off the 2009 Annual meeting by presenting a suite of focused speakers who will discuss the change in American energy policy and the associated R&D that will result from this change. Additionally, this session will provide a series of speakers who will present an industry and academic perspective on clean coal and the biofuels industries in the wake of the current economic outlook and changing public energy policy.
