Energy storage is a critical component to the successful implementation of energy efficiency technology. Wind power, solar, fuel cells, electric transportation, plug-in hybrids, etc. require advanced energy storage technologies to work efficiently. This talk will provide an overview of development, assessment, and application of energy storage technologies to support distributed generation, energy efficiency, and electric transportation. It will include examples of Southeastern partnerships to develop and implement energy storage technologies for energy efficiency programs.
