Delta Ballroom A (Gaylord Opryland Hotel)

Martin Rhodes, Department of Chemical Engineering, Monash University, Victoria, Australia

This presentation will review Martin's research profile, ranging from the early, sometimes controversial work on the modeling the circulating fluidized and the links between the fluidization regimes and pneumatic transport to the more recent, less well known work on the influence of interparticle forces on fluidization and particle behaviour and the so-called Brazil Nut effect. The presentation will also touch on Martin's development of materials for particle technology education and their impact around the world.
