Robustness of Metabolic Networks. Some Fresh Insights

We examine the analysis of robustness in the literature as applied to complex metabolic networks with regard to quantitative metrics and how they can influence metabolic engineering and associated areas of applications. The analysis is motivated by the extent to which results can be obtained without labor-intensive computation that is the hallmark of understanding complex systems.
