In PEG-SDS solution, nano/micro gold particles were synthesized through a one-pot route at atmosphere. Gold nanoplates were the dominant products at 25oC, the size of which increased from 500 nm to 1µm as the concentration of HAuCl4 ranges from 0.2 mM to 1.0 mM. When the reaction temperature was ranges from 15oC to 60oC, the products were quasi-spheres (15oC), nanoplates (25oC), and irregular plates (40oC and 60oC),respectively.
