Pilot Plant Centenary Celebration (TF)

#309 - Pilot Plants through History - Sponsored by Group 12b, Pilot Plants (TF005)
The science and art of pilot plants has evolved considerably over the 100-year history of chemical engineering. This session depicts pilot plants through history, including pictures and descriptions of historical pilot plants, through current trends and developments which may emphasize multi-throughput methods combined with modeling approaches, advanced instrumentation and control, and automated data acquisition and analysis. By tracing the evolution of pilot plants over time, new directions trends may be illuminated.
