Systems and Process Control (10b)

#653 - Multiscale Modeling and Control of Materials Processing (10B05)
Papers are solicited that report novel approaches to modeling and control for materials processing applications. This includes materials ranging from organic bulk materials to inorganic thin films, and for applications in microelectronics, pharmaceutical, and other industries. Control should be viewed broadly to include topics that enable control: research on dynamic modeling and simulation, state estimation, and open-loop optimization are welcome. The modeling need not be explicitly multiscale as long as there are multiple relevant scales in the underlying process.
