#413 - Technology Roadmap: Pharmaceutical Product Development & Manufacturing I (18J01)
The FDA Critical Path Initiative has identified the lack of innovative technology in pharmaceutical product development and manufacture to be a major impediment to reducing time to market as well as cost of drugs. In response to this Initiative, the National Institute for Pharamceutical Technology & Education, a non-for-profit organization, in cooperation with ISPE and the FDA has undertaken development of a Technology Roadmap which identifies specific research needs in these technology domains. In this session two of the main areas of the draft roadmap ( pharmaceutical materials and product development) will be reviewed and feedback sollicited from the ChE research community.
