#212 - Tuesday Workshop: What a Che Educator Needs to Know about Bio (04014)
This workshop is intended to give participants a broad overview of ways to reflect the emerging importance of biology in chemical engineering through various aspects of chemical engineering education. This will include the following topics: 1. Teaching biology to Engineers (Maria Davis, Katherine Taconi) 2. Biology-based Desktop Experimental Modules for Active Learning (Adrienne Minerick) 3. Biomedical topics in Mass Transfer and Kinetics (Stephanie Farrell) 4. Biological Separations (Brian Lefebvre). Presentations will be followed by break-out sessions with the presenters for discussion on what has been successful incorporated into courses and curriculum.
