#87 - Nanoparticle Manipulation and Separation (03D04)
This session is devoted to the fundamental understanding and practice of purification, separation, and manipulation of nanoparticles. Papers are solicited in all subjects related to the general processes of nanoparticle formation and processing, special nanoparticle synthesis, and nanoparticle manufacturing in life sciences and electronics. Novel laboratory-scale and important production-scale processes are of particular interest. The topics to be covered will include at least the following areas: 1. Separation techniques of nanoparticles from gases, solvents, e.g. filtration, electrostatic deposition, etc; 2. Extraction of nanoparticles from one phase to another, e.g. from aqueous to organic by surface functionalization; 3. Purification of nanoparticles through size and shape separation. 4. Techniques for manipulation of nanoparticles to achieve separation and purification. The session is by no means limited to the above and papers closely related to the topic are also encouraged.
