#297 - Advances in Drug Delivery: Microparticles (15B07)
The engineering of micronized and nanoscale particles, or suitable particulate devices is essential in facilitating mechanisms for drug delivery such as increasing the bioavailability of molecules, as well as allowing them to be targeted to specified sites. Controlling the particle morphologies of physiologically active powders can improve their transport and stability in suspension or in the dry state. Experimental and theoretical papers are invited concerning the synthesis, properties, and applications of microparticulate drug delivery devices. Areas may include microencapsulation, liposomes, particle engineering, supercritical fluid processes, novel polymerizations, biomimetics, pharmaceutical dosage forms, and related fields.
