This session is dedicated to medical and biological applications of MEMS and nanotechnology emphasizing bioengineering devices and processes with features on the micron and sub-micron length scale. Topics of interest include (i) New micro- and nano-fabication techniques for applications in medicine and biology, (ii) Novel medical and biological applications of existing techniques in MEMS and nanotechnology, (iii) Mathematical models of medical and biological problems at the nano-scale and (iv) Integration of micro- and nano-scale devices for applications in medicine and biology.
