| Papers are invited in the area of operation, optimization, and control of micro- and nano-scale systems. Here, micro and nano refer to the size of the entire system, or the scale at which operations take place (e.g. nanostructured materials). Systems could include but are not limited to micro-reactors, micro/nano electro-mechanical systems (MEMS/NEMS), micro-sensors and actuators, and micro-fluidic systems. Applications from bioengineered systems (e.g. bio-MEMS) are particularly encouraged. Contributions that address modeling issues involved such as multi-scale modeling, present new strategies for operation and control, or discuss novel applications are welcome. | |||
