Topical 2 - Nanowire (T2)

#229 - Nanowire Based Devices/Sensors (T2006)
Current advancement in synthesis and processing of nanomaterials has made it possible to integrate nanowires into functional devices and sensors. Devices and components such as field effect transistors, decoders, inverters, UV sensors, LEDs, lasers, chemical sensors, and biosensors based on nanowires have been demonstrated. More applications of nanowire based devices and sensors are being explored. In order to make a broad technologic impact and to build real nanomaterial-based products, large-scale nanowire synthesis, fabrication, and integration issues must be addressed. Performance of nanowire devices and sensors will need to be evaluated. This session provides a forum to discuss a variety of issues associated with building and measuring nanowire based devices and sensors. We welcome papers in various aspects (synthesis, physical properties, device integration, fabrication, and modeling) and for various applications.
