Topical 2 - Nanowire (T2)

#418 - Polymer and Biological Nanowires (T2004)
Organic polymer and biological nanowires, fibers and tubes offer many useful properties for sensing, mechanical actuation, fluid and drug delivery, light emission and guiding, and electronics, with the potential for being integrated into multifunctional smart fabrics and smart skins. Currently there are a number of materials synthesis, process methodologies and fabrication processes that are emerging that could support the development of these desirable end applications. This session solicits reports on the synthesis, fundamental and functional materials properties, and applications developments of polymer and biological nanowires.
