| #51 - Advances in Drug Delivery: Hydrogels and Fibrin gels (15D10) | |||
| This session focuses on the design and development of novel drug delivery systems for targeted and/or sustained drug delivery. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Effects of chemical structure and/or physical properties of drug delivery systems on loading efficiency and release kinetics; blood circulation time and biodistribution of drug-carrier complexes after systemic injection; in vitro and in vivo studies of cellular uptake. This session is complementary to the general session 15b02 (Advances in Drug Delivery) and to session 15b03 (Drug Delivery across Biological Barriers. The latter focuses on biological interactions with the delivery system, and we focus on the nature and function of the delivery system itself. | |||
