This session will focus on the latest research and developments in agricultural and silvicultural biotechnology and plant cell culture. Papers are sought that deal with the use of plant-based systems in the areas of secondary metabolite accumulation and foreign protein production. Possible topics include pathway manipulation, stable transformation, expression systems, reactor design, process optimization, innovative bioprocesses, product secretion / purification, economic evaluation and regulatory issues.
