Bioengineering (15c)

#479 - Systems Engineering of Biotechnological and Pharmaceutical Processes (15C15)
The session will focus on recent advances and future challenges in the use of dynamical analysis, control, and optimization methods in biological and pharmaceutical processes. We invite both fundamental and applied papers. However, theoretical contributions with experimental components are especially encouraged. Topics include but are not limited to: bioprocess optimization; bioreactor design; high cell density fermentation; cellular processes, ranging from genetic and metabolic networks, to signal transduction pathways, to cell populations; cell regulatory networks; mechanism-based modeling and analysis of biological processes including approaches that consider the details of the underlying biomolecular interactions; industrial bioprocesses; drug design.
