#595 - Biosensors (08B08)
Biosensors are devices that use biological components to detect analytes of interest. Common applications of these sensors include control of industrial processes, monitoring in health care, and environmental monitoring. This session will focus on recent research efforts in the area of biosensor technology and design. Topics may include but are not limited to; using biosensor to detect analytes in small volumes, development and use of cell-based biosensors, and biologically inspired recognition chemistry for sensors.
