#117 - Fred Thomson Memorial Session: Industrial Perspective of Solids Processing (03002)
Invited panelists from industry (including vendors) will discuss issues and strategies for problem solving in industrial environment. The topics of discussion include scale-up, plant trials, relevance of pilot scale data, startup issues and robustness of design. Each panelist will make a short presentation followed by a discussion and open floor for questions. The late Fred M. Thomson was an early industrial adopter and advocate of technology developments in solids processing. During his career with DuPont, he pioneered the science of solids handling, and was instrumental in the re-organization of AIChE committee 3c in its current form.
