Drug Development at Institute of Toxicology

The development of a new drug-dosage form is a complicated multi-stage process involving chemical technology, medicine, pharmacy and physical chemistry studies. At the Institute of Toxicology the following directions of investigations in the field of drug development are presented: synthesis of pharmacologically active substances, screening of potential drug candidates, preclinical study of new drug substances, and lastly the writing of pharmacopoeia articles. For the development of muscarinic and nicotine cholinoreceptor blockers, as well as cholinesterase reactivators, all stages of drugs development are presented.
