The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 provided more than $60 billion in clean energy investments. Building upon its record of successful research and development, the Department of Energy is focusing its efforts on meeting the energy objectives of the Administration, including new job creation, breaking our dependence on oil, increasing domestic energy production, promoting energy efficiency, closing the carbon loop-hole, and ensuring U.S. competiveness. This presentation will discuss research and development as well as partnership activities the DOE Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy is performing to deliver diverse, clean, reliable and affordable energy technologies to the marketplace.
