02C02 Extraction and Purification of Bioproducts
OverviewExtraction has been an important unit operation for bioproduct separations because it is able to simultaneously isolate, concentrate and purify these products from dilute solutions. We seek papers that describe fundamentals and novel applications of extraction in bioproduct recovery. Examples include, but are not limited to, biofueld, two-phase aqueous surfactant and polymer systems and micellar-gel systems for selective partitioning of proteins, reversible chemical complexation for the recovery of organic acids, amino acids, etc.
