Fluid Mechanics In Biotech Products and Applications
Anne R. Kopf-Sill, CellPoint Diagnostics, 265 N. Whisman Rd., Mountain View, CA 94043

Over the last 20 years, device fabrication techniques have enabled small fluid channels to be manufactured at low cost and high volume into consumable devices for use in biotech and diagnostic products. This talk will cover a survey of products whose key feature is fluid movement at small length scales and very low Reynolds numbers. A point-of-care blood analyzer, a microfluidic device, and a rare cell detection diagnostic product will be described.
