This session focuses on the interactions between cells and materials for biomedical applications. Areas include (but are not limited to) interactions between cells and materials, mechanisms of cell adhesion and migration, cell shape control, directing cell behavior with materials of defined mechanical properties, nano-scale topology and ligand presentation and the control of stem cell differentiation by biomaterials.
