#107 - Smart Manufacturing Plants Prevent Problems: Presentations and Roundtable Discussion (10E00)
Five presentations will be followed by a roundtable discussion. Smart Manufacturing Plants prevent problems before they occur. Examples of problems Smart Plants prevent include unplanned shutdowns, excessive energy use, unwanted safety events, and environmental emissions. Accurate real time plant data, obtained from critically important sensors and measurements, are the foundation of the Smart Plant. In addition to establishing current plant performance, these data are used in models to PREDICT future plant performance and events so PROACTIVE actions can be taken to PREVENT problems before they occur.
