Plant tests are a necessary tool to evaluate new production capabilities, optimization, and product portfolio expansions. Despite these potential benefits often times the manufacturing location is hesitant to perform the test from a simple request. That is because with any change from normal operation there are associated risks. Understanding those risks and capturing those risks through a detailed document will build trust amongst stakeholders and increase the probability of a successful plant test.
This paper will explore the type of information that a manufacturing location will look to have answered prior to beginning a plant test. Keep in mind this information exchange not only benefits the manufacturing location, but also those requesting the test to be performed for reasons to be discussed.
