Hydrogen Generation by Methanol Reforming Using A Micro-Channel Reactor

A reforming micro-channel reactor has catalysts coated parallel channels. According to theoretical analysis of the micro-channel reactor, reactor performance is determined by catalyst surface area, catalyst activity, and source gas feed rate under reaction controlling condition. We have already demonstrated 230 cc/min hydrogen generation from about 10cm3 reactor by reforming 50 cc/min dimethylether. By improving catalyst activity, 580 cc/min hydrogen was generated by reforming methanol.
