Preliminary Program subject to change
02000 Separation and Heat Transfer Designs / Revamps Related to Energy Issues
OverviewThis session will host presentations on the subject of optimizing separations equipment and their associated heat transfer units. The primary goal of this session is to provide a forum wherein we can discuss the design and revamp of conventional equipment(trayed and packed columns with shell-and-tube, plate, air-cooled exchangers, etc.) to optimize performance, save money, and to better appreciate as process engineers that "what happens in the column affects the heat exchanger" as well as the reverse. Operating companies, consultants, research groups, equipment vendors, process simulator providers are invited to participate.
