A Review of Larry's Contributions to Liquid-Liquid Systems

Richard V. Calabrese, Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, University of Maryland, College Park, MD 20742

In this talk I will attempt to review the numerous contributions made by Prof. Tavlarides and his colleagues to furthering our understanding of liquid-liquid dispersion, and interphase mass transfer and reaction phenomena. I will attempt to do justice to the impact of Larry's work to science and practice by interpreting it in terms of how it has influenced the field of liquid-liquid mixing.
